1989: The Dream of Bringing You the Best Ghee in India
It all began in 1989, when our chairman, Mr. Sathyanarayana Shetty, ran a small grocery store in Bangalore. Inspired by the idea of bringing you the best ghee in India, he decided to sell high-quality ghee from his village. Together with his sons, M N Nagaraju Gupta and M N Aswathanarayana Gupta, they started selling this ghee in stores without any brand name or packaging, just in simple bottles.
1990: Creating the Brand for the Best Ghee in India
In 1990, we realized that to truly deliver the best ghee in India, we needed to create a brand. The older son traveled to Shivakashi to design a label for our ghee. After some time, we finally had the perfect label that represented the quality of the best ghee in India. The younger son continued to run the grocery store while focusing on the ghee business.
1997: Building Our First Factory for the Best Ghee in India
By 1997, we knew we had to expand to meet the growing demand for the best ghee in India. We built our first factory in Bangalore and set up a distribution network across Karnataka. Our sister, Mrs. M S NagaMani, took charge of the grocery store while we worked to bring you even more of the best ghee in India.
2001-2006: Growing Our Production of the Best Ghee in India
As we continued to grow, we built a semi-automated facility in 2001. We were determined to create even more of the best ghee in India. During these years, we also began searching for a better location for future expansion.
2007-2010: A New Beginning for the Best Ghee in India
In 2007, we found the perfect land in Chikkaballapura and built a fully automated factory. This was also the time we transformed our business into SRI SADANANDA FOODS PVT LTD. Our new brand name, “SRI KRISHNA GHEE,” became synonymous with the best ghee in India. We also expanded into spice mixes with the acquisition of the “EXCELLENT SPICES” brand.
2010-2016: Bringing the Best Ghee in India to Every Corner of Karnataka
From 2010 to 2016, we focused on growing our reach within Karnataka, making sure our best ghee in India was available in every town and village. We worked hard to ensure that every customer could enjoy the taste of the best quality ghee.
2013: Becoming Known as the Best Ghee in India
In 2013, we were proud to be recognized as the 2nd best player in Karnataka's full-boiled ghee industry. But for us, it was always about taste. We proudly say, “We are the best ghee in India,” and we invite you to try it and taste the difference for yourself.
2018: Introducing Buffalo Ghee – Still the Best Ghee in India
In 2018, we expanded our product range to include buffalo ghee, another step in our mission to bring you even more of the best ghee in India. This new product quickly gained popularity, and now you can enjoy a variety of ghee options from us.
2020: Rising Above Challenges with the Best Ghee in India
Despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 was a year of growth for us. People turned to trusted brands, and demand for the best ghee in India grew. We were proud to see our products reach more people during these difficult times.
2024: Sharing the Best Ghee in India with Andhra & Telangana
In 2024, we expanded beyond Karnataka to reach our neighbors in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We’re now bringing the best ghee in India to even more homes!
